Recently, we were recognized with a first place Dora Maxwell Social Responsibility Award during the Credit Union National Association’s Governmental Affairs Conference that was held in Washington, DC February 21 – 25, 2016.
This prestigious award is given to a credit union for its social responsibility projects within the community, specifically, for external activities that strengthen the structure of a community. We earned the award for our “75 Days of Giving” project, during which we gave away $75 for 75 days in celebration of our 75th anniversary. The credit union gave to organizations and individuals that were recommended by employees and by public social media voting.
“What better way to celebrate our 75th Anniversary than to give back to the community that has supported us for all these years,” said Molly Brown, Marketing Coordinator at Voyage FCU. “The 75 Days of Giving was a very rewarding and wonderful event for everyone, and we are very excited and honored to be recognized,” she added.
