About Brienne:
Brienne Maner is a community advocate whose heart belongs to her hometown, Sioux Falls, SD. She has served as Director & President of Startup Sioux Falls for over 4 years, in which time the organization’s mission, vision, and physical location have changed. Startup Sioux Falls exists to empower founders and startups by offering resources to network, launch, and grow their ventures.
One of Brienne’s proudest professional accomplishments was in 2021 when Startup Sioux Falls was named one of only 51 organizations across the country to receive up to $1M as part of the SBA Community Navigator grant pilot program. The funds are being used to support underserved communities across the state by providing accelerator programming and small business resources to communities serving Native Americans, women, veterans, New Americans and Immigrants. In less than 2 years, the effort has led to nearly 4,000 counseling hours and nearly 400 clients trained.
Brienne has served in various non-profit leadership roles in Sioux Falls for well over a decade, including Sioux Falls Jazz & Blues Society and Downtown Sioux Falls, Inc. (DTSF). She is also proud to serve as part of an annual grassroots effort to collect and donate hygiene products for area homeless shelters, she’s a Downtown Rotarian, she is serving on the city of Sioux Falls advisory board to shape the Downtown 2035 Plan, and also proudly serves as a mentor to women and young professionals in the community.
She hopes that one day her young daughter will lead by example and prioritizes her roles of wife and mother above all else.
