With a solid foundation in business, Janet graduated with a business degree from the esteemed University of South Dakota (USD).
Janet's journey began in 1993 when she joined USD Credit Union, where she played an instrumental role in its growth. Starting with a modest $2.3 million in assets, she became the second full-time employee alongside the CEO and one part-time student. Recognizing her exceptional skills and dedication, Janet was appointed as the CEO in 1999 when the credit union's assets had already expanded to $3.8 million.
Under Janet's visionary leadership, Vermillion Federal Credit Union experienced remarkable expansion over the years. She successfully spearheaded the credit union's expansion efforts into Dixon County, NE, and most of Union County, SD, effectively broadening its reach and impact.
